This Prayer Is For You

The following prayer was prayed by the apostle Paul for the Ephesian people. It is from the Book of Ephesians’. In this prayer, Paul was blessing the people with more than just good health or prosperity. He was praying God with all His power would increase the indwelling of His Holy Spirit in the Ephesians. He was asking God to confirm in their inner-being that out of His love for them Christ would be with them forever. Paul, himself had a tremendous feeling of love for the Ephesians. He was bestowing upon them some of the most powerful, loving considerations someone could pray for others. Ephesians 3:14-19 is one of my most favorite Scriptures.

This morning, I am following Paul’s example, praying this same prayer for you. Why? Because as I love Jesus, and want to follow His teachings; I am aware how much He loves you and wants to bless you. So, I also pray Paul’s blessings upon you.

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses all knowledge – that you may be filled to measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:14-19).

Be in peace, knowing your God loves you without measure!
